GETS INTO PRAYER & LISTENING TO JESUS  

     As we begin our Fall quarter, our focus for 3rd – 6th graders changes from old testament to Prayer. The basis for our Prayer Curriculum is from Children Desiring God, a ministry affiliated with John Piper. We are adding, of course, our own flavor with power point games and video clips. Our 1st and 2nd graders will soon be “Listening to Jesus”. This is a great Bibletoons curriculum which uses music and ani-mation to learn God’s Word. Glitter for Girls and Guts for Boys—yes, Glitter and Guts was our very first mini-retreat for boys and girls 1st – 6th grade! We had a great re-sponse for a first time event and 3 hours of fun, food, and fellowship! Our focus was on Spiritual Fitness and what that means for boys and girls! Everyone had a great time, made new friends, and even went home with some goodies. Our End of Summer Pool Party and BBQ in August was a BLAST! Many thanks to Dawn Holt and her gift of hospitality!
